This was an amazing essay and honestly, reading a lot of the scenarios and statistics and especially the part about abortion made me feel slightly sick and I think that's a good thing. And I'm glad you included Twilight because I've had that discussion numerous times and am hoping against all hope that that series isn't going to help foster and even worse rape culture: one of young girls who believe that rape and assault are nothing more than expressions of a man's love and affection.

The only thing that bugged me was how the beginning seemed to imply that women are the only ones who are raped, but I'm sure you're aware that it happens to men as well and I'm assuming that this is most likely for a women's studies class so that point is fairly irrelevant.
